History
Mama Bear's Place was founded in 2022 by Tosha Pearson after she personally navigated the overwhelming and fragmented postpartum journey with her own children.

She realized the system failed new mothers, leaving them isolated and struggling with pain, exhaustion, and anxiety. She vowed to fix it.
Our mission is to be the integrated, compassionate care hub Tosha wished she had. She is driven by the belief that every mother in Atlanta deserves expert postpartum support that validates and restores her.

Our vision is to create a world where every mother and infant receive the highest standard of postpartum care, resulting in a dramatic decrease in maternal and infant mortality rates. We envision a future where our innovative, community-centered approach to care becomes a model for excellence, inspiring systemic change and ensuring that all families have access to the support they need to flourish.
